SNOW DAYS!!

Everyone knows how much I love the holidays, but what I love even more than the holidays is SNOW DURING THE HOLIDAYS! It makes me feel like I'm in some sort of Christmas Movie! Anyways, we got our first snowfall on Wednesday night (12/17). Jason got called off work and we made dinner and had a relaxing evening at home. I couldn't make it to work on Thursday and Jason got called off again! I actually tried to go to Chopstix Thursday night and showed up to an empty bar with the lights off... THANKS GUYS... lol! And I did have to go to Eastside Staple for an hour on Friday to clean out my desk because it was my last day at a 9-5 office job I hate EVER!!! Anyways... Long-Story-Short, over the last week, Mr. Ankerfelt and I (the married couple who's conflicting schedules cause them to normally see each other about 3 times a week) have spent EVERY day together... it's like a second honeymoon... hahaha. That's a picture of us from the first snowfall on Friday. How rad are my Seahawks earmuffs? I was wearing them on Sunday... I think they're a good luck charm!!

We decided to brave the weather on Saturday to make it down to Auburn for Tim and Erika's Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party! After I went wedding dress shopping with Brandy and we had a lovely dinner with Jason's parents (Thank you Patty :) ), we headed over to Tim's to find there were only a brave few who had made the trip. Logan and Sheila get a pass as they had a beautiful baby girl this weekend and we can't wait to meet Aubrey Rae Sheutzle! :) Anyways, we had a super fun time with our friends in our ugly sweaters. If you can't see Jason's shirt I will fill you in- It says CHRISTMAS LIST- Then has a list of crossed out items SHOES, CLOTHES, MAKE-UP- The last remaining item says A CUTE BOY. Yes, Dave got his sweater on Ebay, Tim had his mother-in-law make his, and my husband got his out of the Junior Miss department at K-Mart. At about 11pm we decided to check outside and realized it had snowed about 3 inches in the last couple hours. Though Jason is holding a drink in his hand in that picture, it was the only one he had at the party and he didn't even finish it, in case you were worried about us... We made it back to Seattle, but it was a scary drive!

The next day we woke up to about 8 inches of snow! It's been so fun! Plus, as some of you know, I've been working like a crazy person the last year- full time job during the week, school every night for 4 hours, and Chopstix or Sport on the weekends... so believe me, being home for a week straight has been wonderful! Anyways, this is our snowman named Pierre... we built him in a park near our house. The other one didn't have a name, half his face and his leg fell off... he was having a bad day... we were having a fantastic day! We went home and Jason made home-made chicken noodle soup. I'm not sure how many people know that my husband is on his way to Top Chef, I swear! Anyways, I hope everyone has been enjoying being snowed in as much as we have!

Merry Almost Christmas Everybody!!

We wish you a Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone!! If anyone knows me at all, they know how excited I get around this time of year! And I'm not going to let this silly economy get me down... even though it's trying very hard!! lol

First of all, every year it's a tradition in my family to go to the mountains and get a christmas tree! However, this year my dad decided it wasn't a good idea since he's building a garage and they're tearing part of his living room wall down!! Yes, in December! Don't get me started. By the way, anyone seen our back yard lately? That was supposed to be finished circa 1999... hahaha I love my daddy with all my heart. Anyhoo... Jason and I have been working like crazy so a mountain trip didn't work out this year. And a heartbroken Stacy grumpily trudged through the boring tree farm... lol Ok, it wasn't that bad. And Jason surprised me with a gingerbread house making kit when we got home. He's a keeper! :D It was also his idea for the melty snowman in the front yard which is my favorite part!

We hope to see everyone over the holidays! I'm sorry we've been so busy this year, but that shouldn't be an excuse. Just for a little update, I only have 3 days left at my job!! I start student teaching in a kindergarten class in January and I couldn't be more excited. We have a lot of things to be thankful for this year... including YOU!! Thanks for stopping by to check up on us and we hope to see you soon. Merry Christmas Everyone!!
