SNOW DAYS!!

We wish you a Merry Christmas!!
First of all, every year it's a tradition in my family to go to the mountains and get a christmas tree! However, this year my dad decided it wasn't a good idea since he's building a garage and they're tearing part of his living room wall down!! Yes, in December! Don't get me started. By the way, anyone seen our back yard lately? That was supposed to be finished circa 1999... hahaha I love my daddy with all my heart. Anyhoo... Jason and I have been working like crazy so a mountain trip didn't work out this year. And a heartbroken Stacy grumpily trudged through the boring tree farm... lol Ok, it wasn't that bad. And Jason surprised me with a gingerbread house making kit when we got home. He's a keeper! :D It was also his idea for the melty snowman in the front yard which is my favorite part!
We hope to see everyone over the holidays! I'm sorry we've been so busy this year, but that shouldn't be an excuse. Just for a little update, I only have 3 days left at my job!! I start student teaching in a kindergarten class in January and I couldn't be more excited. We have a lot of things to be thankful for this year... including YOU!! Thanks for stopping by to check up on us and we hope to see you soon. Merry Christmas Everyone!!

OBAMA!!
Last night we witnessed history! It was amazing to be a part of. We watched the election coverage at a nearby restaurant/bar. When the results were announced everyone jumped up and down, hugged people they didn't know, and cried together in joy. Regardless of your political party, I hope you realize how much this country needs a change and that time has come. YES WE CAN!!!

♥ Duncan Wedding ♥
We had so much fun at Jesse and Ashley's wedding! Besides the shaving of the beard... just kidding! The wedding was beautiful, Ashley looked gorgeous, Jesse spoke unbelievably eloquently, and we danced our pants off... literally... Jason started out in a tux and ended up in a wife beater with no shoes... ha ha. He was the life of the party and a hit with the ladies, especially Jesse's Grandma! Thanks for having us and we wish you a wonderful long-lasting marriage! Hope you have as much fun as we've been having the past couple years!

Leavenworth Camping Trip 2008!!

This Leavenworth Camping Trip has become a tradition. Jason went 2 years ago with some friends, then we went last year with a few friends, but this year was utter chaos... in a good way! There ended up being about 20 of us! We had two campsites and spent most of the time playing games and hanging out around the campfire. On Friday, Jason, Cameron and I played putt-putt golf at this awesome course that seemed like it was built for the pros. By the way, I kicked butt! I won by more than ten strokes and got a hole in one! This is the only time I'll ever beat him at golf so I've been talking about it all week... haha. On Saturday we all floated the Wenatchee River. It was awesome! At one point we had 17 tubes tied together! It ended up being about a four hour trip in 90 degree whether... good thing Stacy is such a Sunscreen-Nazi... so everyone was protected :) Jason also lost his wedding ring in the river! But don't worry, he ran out and got another one as soon as we got home on Sunday... he's a keeper! We had such a great time we didn't want to leave! We're definitely planning another camping trip soon, it's nice to turn off our cell phones and forget about life for a while!!

June 19th... worst day of Jason's Life!!
I will never forget the day I had. It was a Thursday morning around 8am, I wake up in great mood, set to play some golf, getting loose for the golf tourney I had been planning for two months. I get a call from Jesse around 9am and he's awake and ready to play. Emory is already on his way from down south, battling traffic just to come play some golf before we all have to work. I grab my clubs and head out to a beautiful day. Then shit hit the fan!
At a stop light I was in the right lane at a decently busy intersection. The had to merge real quick after the light because there was a city worker truck parked up ahead. So I let the car in the left lane get ahead of me so I would have room. However, I didn't have room. Not looking in all the right spots, I merge right into a commercial freight truck. The lugnuts alone tear up the side of my truck, destroying the beautiful wheels and mangling my tire as well. I'm able to pull off to a side street so the other driver and I can exchange info and possibly get me arrested. Fortunately, everything went fine with the exchange and police. I have a clean record! Yay, no warrants! So I begin repairing my truck tire with the spare. I didn't have a tire iron, but I was 1/2 a block away from the auto parts store. Convenient, I was thinking. So Jesse, who had gotten there to help out, and I run down and pick one up.
We come back to fix the tire armed with our new tool. Oh my god. Where are my clubs? Someone had stolen my favorite thing I own. Right out of my truck. Stole my clubs to get a fix. I know it had to be a hobo or junkie. Another golfer would neverdo that. It's a bond, a respect that we know, and that's the greatest thing about the game of golf. And now that had been taken from me. The set of clubs that I had pretty much developed a relationship with. I love golf and the game was basicly stolen from me after I had totaled my truck. Asshole.
A high point, quickly. Stacy came home to see me at lunch and we went to Red Robin. I was pretty anxious so I wasn't too hungry but having her around was really helpful.
So for the second time in the same day I have dealt with the police twice, one accident, one theft. And been on the phone with insurance all..........day. I think my culbs are covered under some sort of insurance, so that is nice.
It's about 3:30pm now and I have to go to work. I get there and just break stuff and cut my finger under my nail. That hurts a lot when citrus gets in. Ouch. I figure that was probably the third in a series of bad things that were going to happen that day. But, I was wrong.
I come home after work to relax and play video games. I figured a little GTA:4, would help me blow off some steam. I turned on my Xbox 360. It made a sound like it was slowing it's fan speed or something and then.....red ring of death. For anyone not sure what that is, I'll tell ya. The first release of Xbox 360 all have the problem that they overheat. I got one of the originals that were produced, the first series. When they overheat it fries the motherboard or something, I don't know, but basicly it means it is busted. On the front of the Xbox a red circle flashes letting you know it is toast. It happened on the same day as the the other two things. Fortunately the Xbox is covered on a warranty but give me a frickin break!
I don't know what I did, but man, you got me. Who or what ever it is, you got me real good. I'm sorry. I swear. We're even. I might just stay in be next June 19th, just in case this is the start of something.
I swear to god, this entire story is all true and 100% accurate. You can't make this shit up.

Memorial Day "Camping"

We had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend!! We wanted to go camping but Jason wasn't sure if he had to work or not so we ended up camping two nights in my dad's front yard! :P The weekend was full of family, fun and friends and it couldn't have been better. Sunday we spent the day at Emerald Downs and then with the Ankerfelts, had a bbq and then a bocce ball tournement all night... which Stacy dominated everyone!! If I can't be good at any other sport, at least I'm good at bocce ball!! Hope everyone had a fun few days off :)

Stacy and Jason start a blog...

Well, for anyone who hasn't seen or talked to us in a while we're doing just fine but have made a lot of big decisions in the last few months! We both decided to go back to school in September. Jason is going back to North Seattle Community College to finish his AA and then hopes to get his bachelors at UW. I have applied for the Elementary Education Program at Western Washington University's Seattle Campus and should find out in the next few weeks whether I have been accepted. Teaching is the only job I've ever had that I truly love so I'm very excited for this!! Currently we're still living in Seattle and working. Jason is still at Chandler's Crab House and I am currently working for a company called Eastside Staple and Nail in Bellevue. I'm in charge of Internet sales as well as a million other things. I love the company and the people I work with but have decided I'm not a sit-at-a-computer-all-day type of person! I'm easily bored, it seems! But for right now, this will do! Other exciting news... we went on a vacation to Las Vegas about a month ago and decided to buy a time share! This is the picture we took right after we signed the dotted line... haha. We're very excited. We're definitely the type of people who love having fun and we wanted to travel before we really settled down and started a family. So now we have the opportunity to do that! We'll keep you updated on our travels and daily life in general!
